Brief
How can digital resources based on the street host contribute to making Kolstadgata more green and vibrant, and how can such resources be seeds for neighbourhood innovation and long-term positive development in Tøyen?
Research
The goal is defined as strengthening the engagement in the community through the facilitation of proactivity, social interaction and exchange of resources inside the neighbourhood.
Concept
Tøyengate app
Tøyengate is a single integrated sourcing platform for the neighbourhood that includes four categories of services: exchange of items (items), social networking (buddy), help for small tasks (helping hand) and event planning (events).
Items Exchange
The platform offers the possibility to connect people and resources, through a landing-credit system. In exchange, you can choose how to pay back the favour (offering a beer, a pastry or a tennis match). The idea is to aggregate the neighbourhood exchanging favour and educating the new members to a trust-driven social model. All you need might just be next door.
Networking (Buddy)
Are you looking for someone to play football with, drink a beer or play a chess game in the park? This is the place where to find it.
Event Planning
Creating a self-perpetuating loop of local citizens empowering themselves to create their own initiative. The event section gives the opportunity to participate and to create social events, supplying a list of the necessary equipment to arrange the event (event recipe).
