After finishing my bachelor's in Industrial Design at the Politecnico of Milan I was convinced the role of the designer to be a problem-solver, called to optimise production processes and improve products functionally and aesthetically.
In 2020, right after my graduation and the pandemic outbreak, I was offered the possibility to work in an accessories manufacturer supplying fashion brands. This experience gave me new and expanded perspectives on the role of the designer. I started to see this role more as a problem-finder rather than a problem-solver. A role of identification and interpretation critically and innovatively of the needs of society, offering visions of plausible futures.

This experience gave me more awareness of the complexity of the role played by the designer, a sense of awareness further consolidated during my Master's at AHO. Now I aim to be a creative-strategic designer, able to envision possible scenarios and understand with today's choices how the future will be. Not only solve problems but also define them. Using design as a tool not only to create things but also and foremost ideas.
